Know The Symptoms of Lung Cancer

Lungs are the organs in theRespiratory system. Lung function is to change the oxygen in the system of carbon dioxide from the blood with the help of hemoglobin. This process is known as respiration or everywhere.

Lungs are located in the thoracic cavity, protected by the bony structure and the membrane wall contained pleural effusion. Lung cancer is a tumor that grows in the lungs, most of which originate from cells in the lungs. But lung cancer can also come from cancer in other parts of the body that spreads to the lungs.

More than 90 percent lung disease This came from bronchitis or channel air into the lungs. This cancer can be called karisnoma cells skuamosa, karisnoma small cells or cells karisnoma wheat, kasrinoma cells, and adenokarnoma. Karisnoma derived from alveolar cells in the alveoli in the lungs. This cancer can be a single growth. But more often attack from one region in the lungs.

However, not all cancers or tumors that can be found, some lung cancers that occur more rarely, adenoma, a benign cancer, and that sarkoma categorized malignant cancer.

Only a small part of lung cancer more or less around 10-15 percent in men and 5 percent in women caused by the substances found in dihirup or the work place. Some symptoms that can be seen and felt from lung cancer, the other, breathlessness, cough linger, coughing blood, chest pain, sigh, fever and weight loss.

Usually these symptoms will arise when the cancer has turned the stadium, which means that a smoker will not be aware that it affected cancer since a young age. Symptoms of lung disease that often occurs in people usually form cough-cough, which are smoking, difficulty breathing, the sound changed from normal, and cough for more than two weeks in people who do not smoke.

Period of people affected by lung cancer is about 10-15 years old. If since the age of 15 years who have been smoking, possibly at the age of about 35 or 40 years who is suffering lung cancer. Diagnosis on lung cancer based on the type of cell types, and signs enough. One way that can be used is to consume antioxidant which is a compound that can neutralize free radicals with the way cells protect the body, especially the lungs. But, this is the way the last treatment and not a 100 percent obstruct or prevent cancer. This is only to reduce the risk of cancer.

There are several antioxidants that can be consumed, namely Vitamin A, C and E in the form of food supplements. These antioxidants protect the lungs against damage by oxidation and fraktur (fr). Some types of food such as soybeans, tofu, soybean cake, and fermented soybean cake compound also contains genistein, which is antioxidant and anti-tumor strong, can stimulate the immune system. Mechanism for recovery work is stimulating tumor cells into normal cells, especially in lung cancer. Green tea, which contains bioflavonoid Epi-Gallo Catechin Gallat is an antioxidant that terkuat activity 10 times stronger than vitamin C.

There are several types of treatment of this disease, namely surgery, chemotherapy and radiation. This type of treatment tailored to the type of cancer, the level of expansion or spreading on the diagnosis, and the overall health condition of people. Operation is the main action treatment in the early stages of cancer. Patients who can not undergo the operation can switch to the radio therapy.

The level of curing disease lung cancer is still very good, if still in the early stages. The problem, cancer is rarely detected at this stage. If cancer cells have spread to other areas, the choice of treatment is chemotherapy and radio therapy. If the cancer obstructs the flow of the main air, can be used lasers to freeze neoplasm or keep open the flow of air with a stent, or tube

Le débat amiante

L'amiante (asbestos).

Dangers of Asbestos

Workers are important elements in running the economy and industry of a country. Ironically, however, this group is still threatened by the risk to expose the causes of cancer carcinogenic materials in their work. Recently released data that the WHO states that there are at least 200,000 people die of cancer associated with the work environment. However, as quoted from the official website the World Health Organization.

Exposed to the risk of cancer such as lung cancer and Mesothelioma (cancer of the maligna in the chest cavity) due to breathe Asbestos fibers and tobacco smoke, or leukimia due to Benzene exposure at work now still haunt the workers. Lungs cancer, and cancer in Mesothelioma is a type of stomach cancer-related work environment that most often occur.

According to the WHO, like the death of lungs cancer risk is associated with the workplace. Now around 125 million people worldwide with Asbestos exposure in the workplace and at least 90,000 people die each year due to Asbestos-related diseases. Several thousand more died as a result leukimia display of Benzene, organic solvent widely used by workers, including in the chemical and diamond industries. This condition will be more severe if the work does not meet health and safety requirements, including lack of gauge to prevent air pollution to the carcinogenic material.

It requires a very long time for science to translate the tragedy of cancer-related work as a result of Asbestos, Benzene and other carcinogenic material into a protection efforts, said the Director of Public Health and Environment WHO, Dr. Maria Neira. "Expose that can be prevented and clearly responsible for many cases of cancer each year. In order to protect the health, we must adopt the approach based on primary prevention, namely to create a workplace free from the risk of carcinogenic materials." he added.

According to WHO, most deaths due to cancer risks in the workplace occurred in developed countries. This is the result of the use of carcinogenic materials, which vary widely 20-30 years ago, such as Asbestos blue, 2-naphthylamine and Benzene. Today, there is a more strict supervision of carcinogenic material in the workplace in developed countries. However, the process of working that uses materials such as chrysotile Asbestos carcinogenic pesticides, and the materials used in the production of tires will be extended to countries with regulations and legislation that are less strict standard of health work. If the use of carcinogenic materials that are not currently regulated in the developing countries continues, a significant increase in cancer-related work may occur in the coming decades.

To protect workers from cancer-related work, the WHO press the government and industry to ensure that workplaces are equipped with instruments to measure adequate to meet the standards of health and safety and so that the place is free from harmful pollutant. The most efficient way to prevent cancer-related work is to prevent the display carcinogenic materials. Efforts to be made between the other;

1. Stop the use of Asbestos
2. Introducing technology and the organic solvent benzene without a change Chromium
carcinogenic form of a non-carcinogenic
3. Prohibit the use of tobacco in the workplace
4. Providing protection clothing for people who work with the viewing of direct sunlight

WHO provides policy recommendations to help countries to stop the use of carcinogenic material in the workplace. In addition to the ministers of health, the WHO also provides the latest information chain the argument for the health and regulations which exempt the workplace from carcinogenic materials. Recently, WHO issued an official warning that warned countries to stop the use of Asbestos or face the epidemic of cancer in future years. There is a material that is more secure alternative to replace Asbestos, as an example of the use of pine in the production of fiber cement

Over the coursework of the past century, millions of innocent people have been exposed to asbestos, a class of fibrous minerals known to cause a variety of cancers.

Often referred to as "asbestos cancer," mesothelioma is the most common form of cancer caused by asbestos exposure. Other deadly forms of cancer are also caused by exposure to asbestos, such as lung cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, & colorectal cancer, to name a few.

Asbestos was found in limitless products on the commercial market, in lots of factories, homes & public structures, & in a myriad of industries, such as railway production, shipbuilding, & energy production

For lots of decades asbestos was considered an acceptable source of insulation, & thousands of materials made from asbestos were widely applied in industrial & domestic settings.

Of the millions of people who have been exposed to asbestos in the United States alone, thousands have developed life-threatening illnesses, lots of of which are aggressive cancers. Each year, approximately 10,000 Americans die from diseases caused by exposure to asbestos.

For information about at-risk workplaces & products, see Occupations at Risk for Asbestos Exposure & Products Containing Asbestos.

Mesothelioma Cancer

An estimated 20 to 30 percent of people diagnosed with mesothelioma have no knowledge of prior exposure to asbestos. But the prior popularity of asbestos as a building material may shed some light on a person's ability to identify the source of their exposure to asbestos

we most common form of cancer caused by asbestos is mesothelioma, a rare cancer that is never cured. The only proven cause of mesothelioma is exposure to asbestos.

Mesothelioma typically attacks the thin membranous lining of the lungs, abdomen, or heart, known as the mesothelium. It is estimated that 2,000 to 3,000 new cases of mesothelioma are reported each year. The symptoms of mesothelioma typically arise 20 to 50 years after exposure, which makes it difficult to diagnose the countless cases lying dormant across the country. For more information about mesothelioma, see Mesothelioma Overview.

Lung Cancer

Another dangerous cancer caused by asbestos exposure is lung cancer, of which there are four types: small cell lung cancer & non-small cell lung cancer. The latter is the most common type, accounting for 80 percent of known cases. The identification of lung cancer is determined by the appearance of cancer cells under a microscope from a tissue sample.

Symptoms of lung cancer include coughing & chest pain, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, a modify in sputum volume or color, or the presence of blood in sputum. Other symptoms may occur elsewhere in the body, such as weight loss, tiredness, & headaches. As with the development of mesothelioma after exposure to asbestos, lung cancer symptoms appear plenty of years after initial exposure to the hazardous mineral. someone who suspects they may have been exposed to asbestos & are experiencing any symptoms of lung cancer should seek the advice of a medical physician
.

Other Associated Cancer

hough the aforementioned types of cancer may be those most commonly associated with exposure to asbestos, the presence of asbestos fibers in the body can cause some of other, very serious & life-threatening cancers, such as gastrointestinal cancer & colorectal cancer. see Gastrointestinal Cancer & Colorectal Cancer for information about these diseases. According to the National Cancer Institute, asbestos exposure can also increase one's risk of developing kidney, throat, esophagus, & gallbladder cancer.

Associates Risk Factors

As with exposure to plenty of carcinogens, the risk of developing cancer is influenced by a number of factors relating to exposure. First, the amount of asbestos to which a person is exposed is an important factor. Evidence shows the likelihood of developing serious asbestos-related disease compounds as the number of asbestos fibers in the body increase.

Additionally, the duration of exposure may also play a part in the risk of developing cancer.

As with plenty of other illnesses, those who smoke or have a preexisting disease have a higher risk of developing cancers caused by asbestos. For instance, people who have developed non-malignant, pleural lung diseases as result of exposure to asbestos have a greater risk for developing lung cancer.

The risk of contracting an asbestos-related disease increases if the person experienced extended exposure. In addition, different types of asbestos bear varying degrees of risk, as do personal lifestyles, when determining one's risk of developing cancer.

The Next Step

Those who believe they may have been exposed to asbestos at any time should consult a physician for a medical examination. Cancers caused by asbestos exposure may present symptoms lots of years or even decades after initial exposure, by which time it may be too late to seek curative treatments. In addition to contacting a medical professional, the advice of an asbestos lawyer should also be sought for those who have been exposed to asbestos.
